Molecaten Recreatie Park Kruininger Gors, near Rotterdam, is set along the shore of Lake Brielle (Brielse Meer) on the isle of Voorne in the province of South Holland. At a short distance from the park is ‘Voornes Duin’, a dune reserve with an abundance of flora and fauna in an unprecedented variety and a nature lovers’ paradise. Voornes Duin is famous for its great diversity of plants, butterflies, dragonflies and birds. 

The island offers more than outstanding nature; sampling culture in the historical fortified towns of Brielle and Hellevoetsluis, full of character, is also highly recommended. They are at only a short distance from ‘Kruininger Gors’.

If you are in for physical activities, why not cycle around Lake Brielle? Halfway the lake, a a foot-passenger/cyclist ferry plies between the north and south shore.
